Technical International Center for Innovation in Smart C (Community, City, County, Country) – CITI is animated by the vision and desire to study and issue development models of the Smart type communities. It will be a community where its researchers will contribute to the development of discipline concepts and technology that can be integrated in such a model and in solving real world problems. The Center will have a key role in Smart C research in Romania, integrating, developing and improving the Politehnica Bucrești existing achievements in this field, with the prospect of becoming a Center of Excellence on a European level.

CITI aims to achieve all these things through permanent collaboration and dialogue both with the important public institutions for the development of the Smart C in Romania and Europe and with the representatives of the economic environment who want to contribute in a real way to the growth of this center and the fulfillment of its mission.

It has the mission to carry out/conduct/implement advanced and innovative research activities within Smart C Field (Community, City, County and Country), to get over the present technology limitations currently existing in this sector and train human resources specialized in projecting Smart Communities through excellence research activities that respond to the challenge of industry and society, in order to maintain a competitive position of Romania in the race of the Smart C field (Community, City, County and Country) and to create a strong socio-economic impact for industries, citizens and Government.
