The Bucharest University Emergency Hospital (S.U.U.B.) was established in 1978 and is one of the largest IA-grade emergency hospitals in Romania, comprising over 45 departments and units in both medical and surgical specialties.
Each year, more than 55,000 patients are treated as inpatients, over 60,000 patients are treated in day care, and consultations in the Emergency Department and Integrated Outpatient Clinic exceed 300,000 patients annually.
The hospital’s intense medical activity is closely integrated with teaching, research, and scientific work, and with its large number of highly specialized university staff, it serves as an important training center for resident doctors, students from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, and for the training of nurses.
