On October 7–8, 2025, the first edition of Smart City Highlights will take place at the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest Campus, an event organized by Universitatea POLITEHNICA București and CITI Cluster.
The event is structured in two days:
- Day 1 – Urban Dynamics: dedicated to municipalities and large cities;
- Day 2 – Community Ties: dedicated to small towns, communes, and county councils.
During this edition, the Digital CITI application will be launched, an innovative solution designed to simplify the way communities interact with local public administrations. Citizens will be able to quickly submit reports with text, photos, and GPS location, track their resolution in real time, and receive automatic notifications for every update.
📢 Important announcement: all municipalities and county councils participating in Smart City Highlights 2025 will benefit from 6 months of free implementation of the Digital CITI application. This is a unique opportunity for local administrations to quickly adopt a modern tool that enhances transparency, efficiency, and trust between citizens and authorities.
Digital CITI provides authorities with an intuitive dashboard for managing reports, with automatic routing to the responsible departments. An interactive map displays all reported issues, filtered by categories and areas, while the system of reports and automated exports supports analysis and periodic reporting.
Flexible and adaptable, the application allows each city hall to configure its own categories, workflows, and areas of interest, with the possibility to later integrate additional services such as online payments, appointments, or opinion polls.
Through this initiative, CITI Cluster reaffirms its commitment to supporting communities in Romania on the path to digitalization and smart transformation.
