European Funding for the Development of Maritime Technologies: Funds of up to €100,000

The AUTOASSESS project is launching a Call for Proposals aimed at external technology providers to support the development and enhancement of existing maritime use cases by identifying specific challenges.

Eligibility:

  • Start-ups and SMEs applying individually or in consortia (up to two entities).
  • Applicants must be established in the European Union Member States, including outermost regions, or in countries associated with the Horizon Europe program.

Details:

Selected participants will develop and test their solutions over a 6-month period, following three main phases: Planning, Development & Integration, and Evaluation.
The core innovation of the AUTOASSESS project focuses on the fully autonomous inspection of ballast tanks and cargo holds on ships.

Challenges:

  • Reliable high-bandwidth communication for external drone control
  • Stereo event camera for miniaturized drones
  • Human operator interface for FA-IUAS
  • Crack detection with multi-element ultrasonic transducer
  • Synchronization of multi-modal sensor data
