100,000€ funding for bio-based products

The European PRIMED project is launching its second open call for end-users interested in testing and validating high-value bioeconomy products. A total budget of 500,000€ is available, and each end-user can receive up to 100,000€ non-reimbursable funding.

What does PRIMED fund?

The call aims to support the development of business models in the bioeconomy and the validation of bio-based products created within the five Living Labs across Europe.

Targeted sectors: 

  • Biomaterials
  • Biofuels
  • Biochemicals
  • Bio-based products for agriculture, cosmetics, food industry, etc.

Services offered include: 

  • Laboratory analysis for product validation
  • Legal, financial, and market assistance
  • Engineering support (prototyping, testing, manufacturing)
  • Market and logistics analysis

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants:

  • Bio-based end-users:SMEs, primary producers, industrial companies
  • Applications can be submitted individually or in groups
  • Applicants are recommended to be located in or near the regions of the five Living Labs (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Finland)

Funding and deadlines:

  • Up to 100,000€ funding per project
  • The call is open from March 3, 2025, to May 30, 2025
