The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative is launching the Call for Training Proposals 2025, a funding opportunity for organizations developing training programs in emerging technologies. This initiative supports the development, enhancement, and expansion of deep tech training programs, contributing to Europe’s competitiveness and the digital and green transitions. Its goal is to support the reskilling and upskilling of at least 300 talents in advanced technology fields.
What Types of Projects Are Eligible?
The call funds projects that develop or expand deep tech training programs, ensuring their scalability and impact. Proposed initiatives must contribute to skill development in one or more of the 15 deep tech fields, including:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Cybersecurity and Data Protection
- Semiconductors and Microchips
- Robotics
- Biotechnology and Life Sciences
- Sustainable Energy and Green Technologies
- Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Metaverse

Who Can Apply?
Only consortia composed of at least two independent legal entities from two different eligible countries are eligible to apply.
- At least one partner must be from an EU Member State
- The other partner can be from an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe-associated country
- Swiss organizations may apply but will only receive funding if an association agreement is signed before selection
Specific Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must become Pledgers of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative at least 10 working days before the deadline (by March 25, 2025)
- Organizations that have already received funding under the DTTI Prize 2023 or DTTI Call for Training Proposals 2024 for the same activities are not eligible
- EIT KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities) are not eligible to apply
Budget and Funding Conditions
- Funding rate: 100% (grant in the form of a lump sum)
- Maximum budget per project: €60,000 per consortium
- Total available budget: €1 million
- Payments:
- 25% pre-financing at the start of the project
- 75% upon completion, after approval of deliverables
Project Duration
June 30, 2025 – December 31, 2025 (6 months)
