On May 7, the eighth edition of DataCenter Forum Romania will take place in Bucharest (Face Convention Center, Piața Presei). The event stands out through the presence of global leaders shaping the evolution of the industry, such as Rod Evans, NVIDIA Vice President for EMEA, Mehdi Paryavi, President and CEO of the International Data Center Authority (IDCA), and Jonathan Berney, Founder and Managing Partner of Accelerated Infrastructure Capital (AIC).
NVIDIA and Accelerated Infrastructure Capital are benchmark companies in the industry, involved in multi-billion-dollar projects worldwide, both from technological and financial perspectives. At the same time, the International Data Center Authority is a global body that defines international standards for the design, operation, and security of data centers.
Against the backdrop of a European market estimated to attract investments of approximately EUR 176 billion between 2026–2031, Central and Eastern Europe is rapidly closing the gap with established hubs such as Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin. Romania offers a set of advantages that investors are beginning to discover and capitalize on, provided there is a favorable political and economic context. At the same time, local players – from energy and utility providers to builders and integrators, such as Tema Energy – are prepared for a possible market expansion.
Romania is emerging as one of the most promising developing markets, with the potential to double or even triple its installed capacity in the coming years, strengthening its position as the second-largest market in the region after Poland. This development is supported by infrastructure investments, growing interest from international operators, and the accelerated development of the local ecosystem.
This year’s agenda includes:
• 4 keynotes
• 4 on-stage interviews
• 5 panels
• more than 36 invited speakers
DataCenter Forum 2026 is organized with the support of Schneider Electric, EnerSys, Vertiv, Legrand, and HiRef as Diamond Partners, as well as Vodafone Business, HPE, Dell Technologies, Rittal, M247 Global, Pyralis Services, Cummins, EAE Elektrik, R&M, Voxility, Johnson Controls, Dendrio, E-Infra, and Uniline TCS as Gold Partners.
The conference will include multiple keynotes and panels dedicated to analyzing the local market and Romania’s opportunities to become a regional hub for digital infrastructure.
